Going Away/House Warming Party

Last Sunday my church threw me a going away/house warming party after church. I was so touched that they wanted to do this for me. They insisted that I register at Target that way I wouldn't get ten irons, etc.. I didn't know that you could register at Target unless you were getting married or having a baby, but I found out about Target lists. Anybody can create a Target list for a birthday, house warming party, graduation, or any reason you want.

The cake was so beautiful! There was so much good food and I am so thankful to everyone who helped with the party! I was overwhelmed by everyone's love and support and so blessed by all the house warming gifts.

Pastor Rodney and Kathy prayed for me and that is when the tears started flowing! I will miss them so much! Thank goodness their daughter and grand kids live in McKinney so they promised they would call when they came to Dallas and I can go over and see them :)

Here is another face I will miss so much! This is Tiffany and I just love her and her family! Her kids are the sweetest, most adorable kids and I will miss hanging out with them. They are actually moving too and they will only be about an hour and a half away in Abilene so we can still see each other.

I was so happy that Katie and Alecia could come too! I will miss these girls so much and our girls nights out once a month...I am looking forward to girls weekends now though :) We were supposed to go to an Astros game tomorrow night and stay at the Magnolia Hotel but I had to cancel because I had to move in my apartment and start decorating my classroom this week and won't be back to Beaumont until Sunday. I am still so sad I couldn't go but I am glad Alecia's mom was able to go in my place.

As if the house warming party/going away party weren't enough I got home to find this in the entry hall. My neighbor Lisa has a key to put house and left this in the hall way. I unwrapped a vacuum cleaner, throw, ironing board, a toaster, and....

this sweet picture of Maggie in a photo box frame with her collar (the one she was wearing when we had to put her down). Lisa and her family are the kindest people and we have been so blessed to have them as neighbors. As you can imagine, I was so touched by her overwhelming generosity and the picture of Maggie. Lisa told me she has had this awhile and wanted to wait to give it to me until the right time.It was the perfect time because I am just now able to look at pictures of Maggie without crying too much. I don't think I could have seen her collar any earlier than now.

That day was such a wonderful day and I was so moved by all the love I felt from everybody! I will miss my church family, friends, and family in Beaumont so much but I will be back to visit often!
