Pierson and his team
Britni asked me to bring my camera and take pictures and take pictures I did! It's crazy how many pictures I took but how can you resist when watching adorable three year olds play soccer.
This picture is my absolute favorite! Before the game starts they line up the kids and they run through the parents and friends as they call their name giving them a high five. Wade said this is Pierson's favorite part of playing soccer :)
It was so funny watching them play. A few took it very seriously but most of the kids would play with the flags, wave to their family, visit with their friends, or kick the ball the wrong way. The coaches had to keep reminding them which way their goal was. One little boy was so good. He would score a goal and then turn and keep running back down the field like a little professional. It was too cute!
Discussing their next plays
Wade and Pierson at half time (or whatever you call it in soccer) eating a snack.
At the end of the game each kid got a gift bag since it was the last game of the season.
After the game, Britni and I got to spend time together and have a girls day. We ate lunch at this cute Bistro in downtown Weatherford, went shopping, and rented a movie. Our plan was to watch the movie on their new backyard patio with electric blankets, hot cocoa, and a fire in the fireplace but we found out the stone needed to set a few says so we couldn't use the fireplace :( Oh well, we will just have to plan another weekend in the future because that sounded wonderful!
I had a great time visiting Britni and spending time with her and her family. I also got to babysit Pierson on Friday night so Wade and Britni could celebrate their anniversary. Pierson and I had a good time. We played puzzles, guns (where I ran around and he would shoot me and anytime I would stop running he would shout run! I got my exercise that night :), we watched a movie, and I got him to sleep. I have only babysat him once before and he went to sleep for me them too. Britni and Wade were shocked he was asleep when they got home both times. She said he won't do that for anybody but me....just call me the baby whisperer :)
On a random note, there is this little, old, white church down the street from Britni and I LOVE old churches so I stopped and took a few pictures. Isn't it the cutest! It has always been a dream of mine to get married in a old, country church like this one. So beautiful!
